Project report
Two reports for a project: hours and tasks for invoicing, and the one Hilbana's AI writes.
On video
A project can be told in several ways, and Hilbana has one for each case:
- To bill: the client report, with the hours and tasks, exactly.
- To tell a whole period: the report written by AI, long and grouped by theme, saved straight away as a document.
- To know how it’s going now: the status updates, short texts a person publishes, with an AI draft if they want one, that notify the team.
Client report
Hours and tasks for a project over a period, ready to attach to an invoice. Open it from the timesheet by picking a project and a period. It contains:
- Hours per person and hours per task, in decimal hours.
- The tasks completed during the period, with their closing date.
- The detail, entry by entry: date, person, task, note and duration.
It prints (save as PDF from the print dialog) and exports to CSV, which includes the completed tasks too.
It’s deterministic: it comes from logged time, with no interpretation in between. It requires the time tracking module.
With the Invoicing with Odoo module, this report creates the draft invoice straight in your Odoo: see Odoo.
The report written by AI
On the project page, Generate report writes up the period (this month or last month) from the tasks, the comments and the time logged.
- It’s written by the AI Hilbana provides: no agent to connect, no key of your own to supply.
- The result is saved as a project document, so it can be edited, shared with the team and read later. See Project docs.
- It’s a narrative text, so someone can understand the project without opening a single task. To bill, use the report above.
Status updates
Different from the report: an update is a short status text (how the project is doing now, what moved forward, what is stuck and what comes next) that a person publishes. It lives in the Updates section, the first thing on the project’s Overview: the latest one shows, with its author and date, and Show the previous opens the history. People with read-only access to the project can read them; writing, publishing, correcting and deleting is for whoever can write in it.
- Draft with AI generates a draft from what happened since the last published update (or the last 14 days if there is none): finished, in-progress, blocked and overdue tasks, time logged and comments. It only uses that project’s data.
- The draft is neither saved nor published on its own: it lands in an edit box, you review it, change it and press Publish. Discard throws it away without a trace.
- Write by hand opens the same box empty, with no AI.
- If the AI fails or isn’t configured, the reason is shown and whatever you had written stays where it was.
- It’s written by the AI Hilbana provides, like the report: no agent to connect. On the Free plan there is one draft per project per day; on Pro, no limit.
After publishing
- Correct and delete: each update has Edit and Delete for whoever can write in the project. A corrected one carries the edited mark. Deleting removes it from the history for everyone and can’t be undone.
- Notification: when you publish, Hilbana notifies, in the bell, the members who can see the project, except whoever published it. Clicking the notification opens the project’s Overview. Correcting an update doesn’t notify again.
- Agents: an agent reads them over MCP with
list_project_updates, to know how the project is doing before starting on it. It is read-only: a person writes and publishes them.
