Share a project

Show a project to a client or someone outside the team, read-only and without giving them access to the rest of the workspace.

You can share one specific project with someone outside the workspace: they will see all of it and can comment, but they cannot change anything or look at the rest of your work. It is meant for showing progress to a client without adding them to the team.

What the guest sees

Only the project you share and its issues: not the other projects in the workspace, nor the Roadmap, Insights or the Agents panel.
They can read everything inside that project: issues, descriptions, milestones, cycles, documents, attachments and the activity history.
They can comment, and edit or delete their own comments. They can react too.
They cannot change anything: not an issue’s title or status, not create tasks, not touch the project, not upload attachments, not invite anyone else.

On accepting, the person joins your workspace with the guest role and, at the same time, keeps (or gets) their own workspace in Hilbana, which is theirs alone.

Open the project and click Share, top right.
Type the person’s email, choose how they come in and hit Invite. They get an email with a link that expires in 7 days.
That same panel shows who the project is shared with and where each invitation stands: Pending, Accepted or Declined.

Guest or member

When you share, you pick one of two:

Guest (read-only) — the above: sees that project and its tasks, can comment, changes nothing and doesn’t see the rest of the workspace. Takes no seat.
Member — joins the workspace as one more: sees every project and works in them. Takes a seat on your plan, and the panel tells you what it will add to your bill before you invite. A member invitation is then managed in Settings → Members.

From the list you can resend a pending invitation (it generates a fresh link, handy when the email gets lost) or remove someone: a pending invitation is revoked, and someone who already joined loses access right away.

What happens when they open the link

With an account and an open session: they are asked to accept or decline. If they decline, nothing is created, and you see it as Declined in the panel.
Without an account: they create one and, with that, the invitation is accepted; they are not asked twice.
Signed in as someone else: they are told, and offered to sign out and continue with the invited address, rather than putting the wrong person into your project.

Leaving the project

A guest can leave whenever they want, with Leave the project in the same header. Only their access goes away: the project and its issues stay exactly as they were.

Details

Sharing is for workspace admins and members. A guest cannot share or invite anyone.
A read-only guest does not take up a seat in your plan, so you can show projects to your clients without your bill going up. See Billing & plans.
If you remove the last project a guest had shared with them, they also leave the workspace: they are not left inside with nothing to see.
Sharing, revoking and leaving are recorded in the workspace activity log.
Today an account is always required: there are no public links that open the project to anyone holding the URL.
